Functional & Holistic Interior Design

at the sweet spot between DIY and full-service firms.

Designing locally in Maynard, MA and online anywhere in the world.

The Truth Is… you and your home have drifted apart.

This is likely because you’ve entered a new phase in your life, but your living space hasn’t evolved at the same rate.

You love your home and you want it to reflect not only where you’ve been, but who you’re becoming.

Now you’re craving something that feels new, fresh and engaging… something that feels totally comfortable and livable and relevant to your life today and in the future.

Most of all, you really want to belong in your home again, without having to do major construction and spend a massive amount of money on a renovation project that you don’t really need.

If that sounds familiar, then you’re in the right place.

IT’S OKAY IF YOU DON’T HAVE AN INTERIOR DESIGN BONE IN YOUR BODY.

  • You want a fresh update, but you’re not sure how to get it.

  • You lack the patience to search for furniture, let alone choose the right pieces in the right sizes, colors and styles.

  • Full-service design fees are out of the question, but drafting, space planning and visualizing are not your superpowers.

  • You love the home you already have and you want to keep its unique charm.

  • You’ve heard of color psychology, holistic design, and Feng Shui, but what do they all mean?

  • You’re an expert at lots of other things.

Hi, I'm Nan!

Hi, I'm Nan!

I’m a holistic interior designer who’s devoted to functional, livable design.

I’ve always been intuitive and highly sensitive to my surroundings and to other people’s energy. Turns out, these traits allow me to create spaces that my clients connect with physically, aesthetically, emotionally and energetically. That’s holistic design.

One thing’s for sure, our surroundings have a direct impact on our quality of life. I know this because I grew up in a well-designed home where I felt happy and true to myself.

That’s why I’m passionate about helping people design a home that lets them be free to be who they are today.

It Would Be So Magical…

  • if an intuitive person could see your home from your point of view, but also with fresh eyes, then they could really help you decide what to keep and what to add new.

  • if an expert could help you narrow down choices, because that’s where you feel really lost, then it would take a lot of your stress away.

  • if a wizard could add more space without changing the footprint, refresh your favorite furniture, and brighten everything up, that would make you and your home so happy!

  • if a practical person could spare you a disruptive demo project and even save you some money along the way, you could breathe a big sigh of relief.

  • if you could get help from a creative, empathetic designer who really listens and designs everything with you in mind, then you would feel so heard and supported.

There’s a special place in my heart for clients who:

Long for a beautiful space without living through the pain of renovating.

Are down-to-earth people who participate in their communities and work towards the greater good.

Love color, pattern & texture, but just can’t achieve the right mix.

Want to save our planet, so they like to shop second-hand & repurpose things whenever possible.

Feel overwhelmed by the mega-stores & need a designer to help narrow it down.

Dig the music of the 60’s and 70’s, love getting back to nature, and rock a funky outfit from time to time.

Groovy Clients

“Nan is a find. We down-sized, and are making our new home our own. It was important to us that it be ‘our own’. What makes Nan such a treasure is that she brings her considerable design skills to the process in a way we found collaborative, encouraging, and educational. Also, she has seemingly infinite patience and enthusiasm. I felt so much more confident in our choices working with Nan. She is really helping us bring our vibe to our new home. She is my go-to for all things design now.”

You need guidance from a collaborative

interior designer.

It’s not about showing off with a pricey renovation and a fancy space that doesn’t fit you or your lifestyle.

Besides, you wouldn’t choose to spend your money that way; you’d much rather do some of the steps yourself and save some cash for a fantastic sofa or a dreamy wallpaper.

But on the flip-side, trying to fully DIY a total room update feels impossible, due to those aforementioned missing design bones.

Updating your space has everything to do with your own energy shifting into a new gear, like entering a new phase of greater creativity, or committing to a new purpose.

Wherever you’re at, the transformative process of updating your home is about feeling inspired, excited, and totally ready to make some big changes.

It’s got everything to do with feeling like you belong there in a new way.

I believe that a home should be so aligned with its people that it looks like they designed it themselves. Ultimately, the designer fades away and the client emerges clearly, living in harmony with their home. That’s my dream and my goal for every client.
